Bookings & Payment

  • A credit card is required as security for all bookings.
  • All bookings require confirmation & are subject to vehicle availability
  • We can not guarantee any booking made online with short time notice
  • Bookings can only be made by an adult over 18 years of age
  • It is requested you check all details of your booking and notify us of any errors

We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, Bank Transfer, Cabcharge, Cash & Cheque

  • A 3% handling fee applies for Visa, MasterCard, Amex & Diners Club
  • Cabcharge accepted for manual processing. Corporate cards, Vouchers or e-tickets. All Cabcharge transactions attract a 10% fee by Cabcharge
  • For bank transfer please contact us and we will provide our bank details
  • All cheque payments to be cleared within 7 days of the booking

Payment Due Date
For  Corporate clients with established corporate accounts payments should be received no later than 14 days from the invoice date or as per agreement with Griffin Limousines. Payments not received within the agreed time frame allowed shall occur interest charges added of 18% yearly or 1.5% monthly.

For Individual accounts all payments should be received after executing the ride. For credit card holders the total charge will be charged to their credit card after the completion of the transfer.

Cancellations & Refunds

General Transfers
We ask that cancellations be made more than 24 hours prior to the date of travel by phone or email. Any deposits or payments made will then be fully refunded.

Any cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will not be entitled to any refund and and will be charged the full applicable fee for the transfer.

Weddings

  • Final rates are based on individual client requirements and requests
  • All general terms and conditions apply to all wedding bookings plus a non-refundable booking fee of 50% of the total cost will be required on the day of booking. The balance payable will be required no later than 1 month prior to the wedding date.
  • Griffin Limousines requires that customers holding bookings in connection with a wedding who need to cancel such bookings do so 7 days or more prior to the scheduled pickup time by phone or email. If a booking in connection with a wedding is cancelled on less than 7 days’ notice the customer will be charged the full quoted price / balance of the booking.
  • All wedding vehicles (excluding ‘direct transfers’) can be supplied with white ribbons. Should specific decorations be required, other than what we have available, these are required to be supplied by the client. They will be returned upon completion of the vehicle hire.

Special Events
Special events (including concerts & sporting events) are associated with a high demand for transport. Accordingly, bookings for such special events should be made well in advance of event dates.

Griffin Limousines requires that customers holding bookings in connection with special events who need to cancel such bookings do so 7 days or more prior to the scheduled pickup time by phone or email. If a booking in connection with a special event is cancelled on less than 7 days’ notice the customer will be charged the full quoted price of the booking.

Alterations to Pre-Bookings
The cost of the vehicle hire is guaranteed providing that the payment schedule for the hire is adhered to and the original structure of the hire is not altered.

If you need to make a change to your booking after we have issued a booking confirmation we will do our best to help you, however if the change or changes alter the structure of the booking/hire/services, charges will be made accordingly where applicable (late changes to bookings should be requested no less than 24 hours prior to the journey).

We will take into consideration reasons beyond your control if you have to change your travel itinerary with us and of course we will make every effort to accommodate this.

Wait Time
Each scheduled pickup includes a courtesy waiting period and is included in the price of your transfer.

  • 10 minutes for pickups from a residence, office, port, train station or requested address
  • 20 minutes for pickups from the Domestic Airport
  • 45 minutes for pickups from the  International Airport

For a pickup from a residence, office, port, train station or requested address, the courtesy waiting period commences from the scheduled pickup time. For a pickup from an airport, the courtesy waiting period commences upon actual landing of the flight indicated in the booking. Additional time is charged at 25% of the applicable hourly rate for each 15 min or part thereof.

If you can not locate your chauffeur you must contact us immediately on 0409 245 237 or by email at info@griffinlimousines.com.au (24 hours). Failure to do so will result in a ‘no show’ and the trip will be billable.

On Time
Please be assured that Griffin Limousines will take every reasonable safeguard to achieve an on time service, however in the unlikely event of our drivers being late due to circumstances howsoever caused, no liability will be accepted by Griffin Limousines.

We shall not be liable for any loss or delay caused as a result of the following: strike action, industrial disputes, riots, political unrest, hostilities, war or the threat of war, terrorism, fire, flood, and technical/weather problems with airlines or ferry /ship operators, weather conditions or any other event beyond our control.

Passenger, Luggage Information / Limits

Luxury Sedans

  • Maximum of 4 passengers
  • 2 suitcases (max 82cm x 59cm x 34cm) plus 2 piece of cabin luggage (max 50cm x 31cm x 23cm)

People Movers

  • Maximum of 7 passengers
  • 4 suitcases (max 82cm x 59cm x 34cm) plus 4 piece of cabin luggage (max 50cm x 31cm x 23cm)

No luggage will be transported inside the passenger area of the vehicles due to safety concerns. Any excess luggage transfer will be the responsibility of the client.

Note: we do not transport surfboards, sailboards or bicycles in any of our vehicles.

If your luggage requirements are more than the above limits please advise at time of booking.

Vehicle Usage
We permit the use of our vehicles anywhere within our area of operation provided it is a sealed road. Use of any vehicle on a non-sealed road is not available.

Chauffeur Accommodation
If it is necessary for our chauffeurs to have overnight accommodation this will be charged at $200.00 GST inclusive per night.

Parking Fees
Car parking and any event entrance fees will be charged at cost.

Soiling or Damage to Vehicle
Passengers are responsible for any damage or soiling they cause to the interior and or exterior of the hired vehicle whilst on hire to them, and will be charged accordingly for any repair or detailing required to restore the vehicle to its condition at the commencement of the hiring.

Alcohol & Food
Alcohol or food may not be consumed in the vehicle.

Griffin Limousines and its chauffeurs have the right to refuse to carry any passenger who is thought to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and whose behaviour poses a threat either to the Chauffeur, the vehicle or any other passenger(s).

Smoking
Smoking inside the vehicle is not permitted at anytime.

Pets
No pets are permitted in vehicles.

Customer Safety
Our drivers will at all times drive at safe and sensible speeds as in accordance with legal speed limits, traffic and current road conditions and further more the driver reserves the right to deny access to a venue that they feel may put the passengers and vehicle in an unsafe situation. All travel must be on sealed roads only.

Baby Seats
We can provide a baby or child seat for an additional fee of $10.00 per transfer. Please be very clear about this requirement and specify the age of the baby/child at the time of booking. Please note that Griffin Limousines can only arrange for one baby/child seat to be fitted to each sedan vehicle. If more than one baby/child seat is required, additional sedan vehicle(s) will need to be organised. Vehicles with baby/child seats may be more difficult to source on short notice, so clients are encouraged to book as far in advance as possible. If a booking is made without a confirmed baby/child seat and on pickup a baby/child requiring such a seat is amongst the customer’s group, the driver must refuse the job and will contact our office. The client will be charged the full fee for the transfer. We do not transport a baby/child without an approved baby/child seat.

Seat Belts
It is compulsory by law that all passengers wear seat belts at all times when the vehicle is in motion.

Insurance
We are insured for passenger travel. This insurance is for public liability and NOT travel insurance. Although every effort will be made to ensure the safe keeping of personal property, we do not accept liability for the loss of personal items. Please check that you have sufficient coverage for any personal property that you bring onto our vehicles.

Lost & Found
We shall try to deliver any items left in the vehicle back to the hirer at their expense or they may be collected from our office. We cannot be held responsible for any personal items left in the vehicles during or after hire.

Inappropriate Behaviour
Clients/Passengers acting in an anti-social manner, causing unwarranted distraction to the driver or generally causing concerns regarding safety will be asked to leave the vehicle and seek alternative transport to their destination. No refund will be offered in these circumstances.

Tours
Please note any persons purchasing any goods outside of tour entitlements, such as wine, food, art etc, are responsible for the paying of such goods.

Overtime Rates
If a hire exceeds the finish time as agreed at the time of booking, overtime rates will apply and will be charged accordingly.

Please note: Overtime will be at the discretion of the chauffeur ensuring this does not conflict with prior booked commitments.

Gratuity
Griffin Limousines does not charge any gratuities to clients. Tips can be given to the driver upon the customer's discretion.

Disclaimer
We do not accept responsibility for injury, sickness or death of account holder, or passengers, except where such death, injury or sickness is caused by an employee of Griffin Limousines.

Amendments to Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right to amend our Terms and Conditions. Amended terms and conditions will appear on our website as they are made.
